Strong acid–strong base titration curve

An example figure from the Titration Curve generator.

Titration curve of 25.0 mL of 0.100 M HCl with 0.100 M NaOH, with the equivalence point at 25 mL and pH 7 marked
The pH of 25.0 mL of 0.100 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) as 0.100 M NaOH is added, up to 50 mL. The pH starts low, stays nearly flat, then jumps sharply through the equivalence point at 25 mL. For a strong acid and strong base, the equivalence point is at pH 7.
